Aluminum is a lightweight, corrosion-resistant, sustainable and eco-friendly metal, making it an ideal choice for windows and doors. It does not rust, rot, or warp ensuring long-term durability. It is a strong material, allowing for the creation of slim-profile frames that can support large glass panels. Aluminum frames can be thermally broken, which helps reduce heat transfer and improve energy-efficiency. Aluminum windows and doors require minimal maintenance, can be customized into various shapes and sizes, and are highly resistant to extreme weather conditions.
Since 1978, RAM has believed in producing superior quality products and servicing those products with local experts that can provide expedited responses to any customer request. RAM’s core competency is thermally-broken aluminum window and door products that are durable, energy-efficient, sustainable, and weather-resistant. Our all-aluminum frames are finished with either high-performance paint (AAMA 2604 or 2605 grade) or are anodized (Class I or Class II thicknesses available) to accommodate standards at the highest level. Thermally broken windows are constructed with a frame that has two distinct “breaks” in it, typically made of different materials. These breaks create a barrier between the interior and exterior parts of the frame, which helps reduce heat transfer between the interior and exterior of a building. They are particularly valuable in climates with extreme temperatures, as they can help maintain a comfortable indoor environment and reduce energy consumption for heating and cooling.
Low-E windows, short for “Low-Emissivity” windows, refers to the glass being utilized. Low-E is an energy-efficient coating that reduces the amount of heat that can pass through the glass while still allowing visible light to enter, improving energy efficiency and comfort in homes and buildings.
All of our operable windows and doors have the option of screens with the exception of swing and pivot doors.
Retractable screens are screens that can be rolled up or pulled back when not in use. They are designed to provide insect protection and ventilation while remaining unobtrusive and easily storable when not needed. Retractable screens are commonly used on bi-fold and sliding doors.
All of our products come standard with Low-E, dual-paned glass. However, glass options are numerous. RAM partners with some of the largest glass manufacturers in the world, gives our customers a very wide selection of options and features.

Painted black and dark bronze anodized are two different methods for finishing or coloring the aluminum frame. Painted black uses pigmented paint and is more susceptible to damage and fading, while dark bronze anodized involves an electrochemical process that creates a durable, long-lasting, uniform finish with a dark bronze color.
